HF-L is one of just 29 school districts in New York State to be named a High Performing/Gap Closing School District for more than five consecutive years, and is one of 10 New York State high schools recognized by the National Center for Educational Achievement as a High Performing School.
Buffalo’s Business First ranks the District #3 overall out of 67 districts in the greater Rochester Region. HF-L received “5 star” status as one of the top performers in EVERY academic subject area with our High School leading the way ranking #4 out of 87 schools. Additionally, HF-L was ranked #6 out of 431 update districts for K-12 performance on state assessment, Regents Exams and advanced diploma achievement. Business First also ranks HF-L #1 in Administrative efficiency and #2 in the greater Rochester Region for its performance on the 2010 NYS Regents exams.
HF-L is a 2007 and 2010 recipient of the New York State Good Sports Award and the New York State Healthy STARS Award, a 2009 recipient of the prestigious national Magna Award for leadership in diversity efforts and a 2011 recipient of theOutstanding Physical Education STARS Program Award.
Lima Primary School is a 2010 honoree of NYSASCD for the Educating the Whole Child for the 21st Century Award.
